With the help of Left Travel, we are able to provide eco-friendly property owners with a platform to promote their vacation rentals, gain more visibility to potential guests and encourage them to book eco-friendly.

How do I become a One Degree property? 

  • Review our Eco Score requirements
  • Go to our registration page
  • Select your category: Property Owner, Property Manager, Hotel, or OTA
  • Fill in your contact information and link to your property listing(s)
  • Complete our One Degree property assessment
  • Submit the form
  • You’ll receive an automated email response with your score
  • To register as a One Degree member, and receive your full Eco Score report, badge, and the marketing benefits of membership, you’ll submit your payment information through the link in the email

How do I book a One Degree property? 

One Degree scored properties are listed on up to 15 of our international websites. Travelers can filter for Eco Scored properties on the top right menu. In addition, travelers can book directly at onedegreestays.com, our curated list of Eco Scored properties.

How is my Eco Score determined? 

The One Degree Eco Score is determined by a combination of three factors:

  1. Our Eco Score self assessment which is comprised of over 115 questions.
  2. Location based data collected from your property listing including a property’s walk, transit and bike score.
  3. Traveler reviews to ensure there is accuracy in submissions.

Is it possible to get my Eco Score without becoming a One Degree member? 

One Degree strives to change travel behaviour, that is why we’re giving property owners a complementary Eco Score to gain a better understanding of their environmental impact.

While property owners will be able to view their score, they will not be able to display it on their page, be listed on our sites, or receive educational resources and marketing support without formal membership.

How do you make sure that an Eco Score is accurate? 

As mentioned above, we will collect Eco Score reviews from our travelers. Travelers receive an invite to review a scored property following their stay. If there is a large discrepancy in scoring the One Degree team will follow up with the property owner or manager directly.

Where is One Degree available? 

One Degree membership is global. Property owners from all countries are able to become members.

How do I renew my One Degree membership? 

Two months prior to your renewal, you will receive an email with your previous Eco Score Assessment which will highlight the areas that can be improved as a reminder to work to reduce your environmental impact before the renewal.

One month prior you will receive an email giving you access to renew. You’re can also renew through your membership portal.

How often can I update my property’s Eco Score? 

Property scores can be updated annually at the time of renewal.
